ySystem, spol. s r. o. is a renowned creator of information systems, solutions for Fleet Controlling, administration of mobile sources and other systems with added geographic information (LBS, GIS). In particular, they are intended to identify positions and statuses of mobile objects, their mutual interaction depending on spatial information. They are intended also for intelligent transport systems, government organizations, distribution and logistics companies and utility companies. ySystem provides its solutions in EU countries and adjacent regions while focusing on the latest knowledge in wireless communication technologies, sensors, mobile communication and dynamic data distribution..

History

Czech company GCWare, which was a personnel as well as knowledge basis for current ySystem, spol. s r.o., was established at the end of 1998 and attended its first customers in February 1999. The original name GCWare expressed the company´s main focus: expert knowledge in the area of graphic and geographic information (Graphics), provision of consultation services (Consulting)
and development of its own softWARE concentrating on location-based services (LBS), geospatial information systems (GIS) and geographic systems for air traffic management. A division focusing on air traffic management applications was later sold to a third party.

With the increasing number of clients, GCWare was renamed to YMS Czech Republic and then to ySystem, spol. s r.o. Existing projects are currently worked on by approximately 35 permanent employees. Other experts cooperate with the company externally if needed.
